Is your laboratory certified?
Yes, we are FDA certified for the testing of Vitamin A&D in fluid milk, NCIMS 29800. The FDA does not certify laboratories for nutritional labeling testing of food.
How long does it take to test a sample?
Most tests are finished in about one week. Some vitamin tests may take two weeks. The complete nutritional label panel of tests takes about two weeks to complete.
Can I get Rush Service?
Yes, if agreed upon in advance. Please let us know when you need your results, and
we will try to meet your needs without a rush charge if possible. However, if Rush Service
is deemed necessary to get the sample results in a specified time, the Rush Service charge will be 1.5 times the cost of the assay. Some tests can not be rushed due to their nature.
How much sample is required for testing?
We ask that you submit at least 10 grams of sample for each test requested. For example, if a sample is submitted for three tests, then 30 grams of sample would be sent. Vitamin A&D testing in milk requires 4 oz (see Dairy Information). The minimum amount of sample for a complete nutritional label test is 100 grams. It is extremely important that the sample be a good representative of the product being tested.

What methods are used in the testing?
The methods that we use are from the AOAC, AACC, USP/NF, AOCS or other approved methods in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations 21 CFR.
How can we receive the results?
Please let us know how you would like to receive the results when you complete the sample or dairy submission form. We can e-mail, fax, mail and/or phone the results to any contact you provide.
How will I be billed for the services?
You should receive an invoice after the testing is completed. If you use purchase orders, please include the purchase order number when submitting samples.
We also take credit cards.
Do you perform any other tests that are not listed on your price schedule?
Yes. The price schedule shows the most common tests performed. Please feel free to inquire about other tests. Even if we can not help you, we may know other laboratories that can.
